Eating healthy at school can be a challenge. Add being gluten free to the mix and that challenge gets even harder. For yesterday's portable lunch I kept it pretty simple. I added tuna for protein, mango cottage cheese (a new flavor that is delishhh!!), two rice cakes, and an apple. Can't forget my lemon water! I've been doing really well with my goal to drink more water and pee 439,534,048 times a day!
After class I headed to the gym for some chest and back training. I love upper body strength training, and it felt good to move after sitting in a desk all day. I came home and completely devoured one of my protein muffins.
Those of you that follow me on Instagram already saw that the other day was very sad. I ran out of ketchup. To be honest, this hasn't happened in over a year. I freakin' buy up the whole shelf of ketchup just so this doesn't happen. I am going to be so sad when the competition diet starts and I have to say goodbye to this food group.
Since I wanted eggs for dinner and not having ketchup with them is simply not an option. I ran to the grocery store to re-stock and grabbed a few misc. items along with it. And yes, it's totally normal to run to the grocery store just for ketchup. The Starbucks gift card is for a friend (although I wish it was for me haha).
I whipped up egg whites with spinach, microwaved a potato, and mixed up my greek yogurt dip.
March greens is in full effect! My goal for the month was to eat more green veggies and I am making sure I do. Don't judge me, but I just can't do spinach in smoothies. I don't know if it's the color or the texture, but it totally grosses me out!
I finished off dinner with a simple side salad with balsamic dressing. I looooove my balsamic dressing.
Time for the school thing. Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
So far the boyfriend and I are planning on heading to restorative yoga tonight. I'm so looking forward to just lying there hehe. The rest of the weekend has a lot on the agenda, so let's hope it's a good one!
Have any good weekend plans friends?!
I wish schools had healthier options for meals, when I lived in the dorms and only had a little mini fridge to keep groceries in it was always so challenging. Ha you and my stepbrother would get along well, he eats ketchup on everything! I hate it.
ReplyDeleteHate ketchup?!? That is crazy talk
DeleteBig St. Patrick's Day plans for me this weekend! Parades and Parties all weekend long! Are you celebrating at all?
ReplyDeleteMaybe a parade on Sunday! I am like 95% Irish, but it's not a huge holiday for me. Have fun with all your plans!
DeleteI wish I could get into yoga but I just can't do it... hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks you too!
DeleteMango cottage cheese, huh? Hmm...I think I see that in my future! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe raspberry one is delicious too!
DeleteGreen smoothies aren't my thing either, but that scramble looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteScrambled eggs are the only way I can eat spinach!
DeleteThis kind of language schools are aimed to keep your children learning about new languages as
ReplyDeletewell as cultures. It's almost always easy to make a joke about the way a cat ends up lying down or sitting. Use old fabric to create puppets, monsters, and any other creatures that your child can imagine.
