Nothing A Beer And A Coffee Can't Fix

Hey guys! Happy to chat with you all since this weekend was a busy one and I didn't get to pop in and say hi. Mondays always come so fast so let's recap all the marvelous things about this past weekend.

Friday turned out to be quite a stressful day at school. After checking my final math project to find out my group's calculations are off, well that is definitely not how my group planned it. Ooof. Hoping we can get everything squared away soon. Nothing a hot cup of coffee can't solve right or a Panera date with the boyfriend to catch up...

Since Friday afternoon ended up being no fun, I knew I wanted to go out. The boyfriend and I can be really antisocial sometimes. Our "dates" typically consist of take out and tv. So it was nice going out and having a beer with friends. The last time we saw Tina and Ron was for our sushi date, so we had alot of catching up to do.

The bar even had a new Spanish gluten free beer (score). I forget what real beer tastes like, but our friend Scott said it tasted like corona.
I think I am still catching up on my lack of sleep from this night. It's been a long while since this grandma has been out way past midnight. I also ended up being a starving beast in the middle of the night and ate too many chips and Reese's cups, which went un-photographed.

Saturday was spent doing some shopping for an upcoming trip (not Colorado, will explain in another post). I didn't buy a pair of these cute floral sneakers at Old Navy, but am considering going back. My favorite is the blue pair.
I did buy one item from another store. This dress was only five bucks. At first I was like is this a joke? It ended up being too big so I gave it to my mom.
Most of Sunday was spent helping my grandparents with the yard and such. I got my exercise in for the day by moving a gigantic wood pile. Imagine getting my exercise in from real work haha. Can't remember the last time that happened.

In the middle of the wood pile I found a snail! Yes a real live breathing snail. So strange.

Lesson learned from this weekend- I need to go out more and sleep less hehe.

Questions for you- Would you touch the snail? I'll admit I was afraid. Bugs gross me out!
Do you need alot of sleep at night? I need at least 6 hours to function or else I am a zombie.

  1. I am a total grandma lately! And I feel like I need 8 to function (well), 9 is actually my ideal- I rarely get it though!

  3. Haha, well snails aren't actually bugs but I know what you mean. They gross me out too. Snails, slugs, and bugs all gross me out. Just thinking about them is making me shudder. Egh.

  4. The best amount of sleep for me is 7-8 hours. No more, no less. I'm very picky. :)
