America's Got Talent Experience

Troy and I headed into the city yesterday for America's Got Talent which was such a blast!

We hopped on an early train into the city and spotted my friend Kim on there too! Haha. She's in the middle.
To pick up our tickets we had to arrive at Radio City Hall around 3. We didn't have to come back until 7 so this left us plenty of time to eat and explore.
After hailing a cab the boyfriend and I headed to Times Square to venture around M&M world. Of course I was a sucker for all those "exclusive" NYC flavors so I had to buy some. They always know how to draw me in for chocolate haha!
Then it was time to eat! All of that walking made us hungrrrrrry. We decided on Virgil's since we both love BBQ and they have a gluten free menu.
But when we got there I was disappointed that their BBQ sauce is not gluten free. So my idea of eating juicy BBQ ribs quickly diminished. I have to say their salad was ginormous and much better than expected! There were avocado, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, and grilled chicken. My favorite part was the bacon. It wasn't just pieces of bacon, but little shunks of it like squares. Tasty!

Both of us could barely finish our meals, we left stuffed.

Before we knew it, we were headed back for America's Got Talent. Since I have my knee injury we waited on a separate line to head in first. I have to say all of the employees were super nice and extra helpful in having me do the least amount of walking as possible. One lady even ran over and told me to go stand in the corner. She was bringing a chair for me to sit down until they opened the inside doors. Radio City Hall is super accommodating if you have an injury and/or are disabled.
Troy and I had a pretty good laugh that she got me a chair because there were many older people or people with far worse injuries than me. He thinks the brace and the crutches make it look worse than it is.

Once we were inside you were allowed to take pictures up until 8:30. Troy was nice enough to walk around and take some pictures for me!
Seeing how they set up everything was so cool. Everytime they go to a commercial Howard Stern gets his hair fixed even more than the girls haha.
We also saw Jason Derulo perfom. I'm not really a fan of that type of music, but was still cool to watch. Both of us agreed that one positive thing of being injured was no waiting on lines and decent seats in the orchestra.
America's Got Talent was such a fun experience! I would definitely recommend it if you are in the NYC area!

  4. WOW! What a fun experience! I am not a fan of Jason Derulo either, but seeing any celebrity preform would be enjoyable. One day I will need to go to Radio City!
