Labor Day Crisis Averted

Good morning from two sleepy heads in this picture!

Labor Day started off bright and early with a trip to the store for dishwashing detergent. I may have purposely made us shop near my favorite store ;)
Note to self: dishwashing packs and laundry packs do look extremely alike. Read the back of the box next time. Where I was house-sitting almost turned into this mess like the episode in the Brady Bunch. Luckily we saw all the laundry suds coming out of the dishwasher in time. Crisis averted!
No beach or BBQ plans for me since the weather was gross. The entire weekend was cloudy and rainy with no sun. I actually liked it since when it is sunny out, I always feel like I have to be outside. The yucky weather gave me some time to catch up on things around the house.

I did take a break from laundry to sit down for a quick lunch. A tuna packet mixed with mayo and pepper.

Along with some popcorn chips I bought that morning.
In the afternoon I did head over to Troy's parent's house for a huuuuuge dinner. When I say huge look at that spread. Oh man those steaks! They were the size of a paper plate. When it comes to steaks Troy's parents do not mess around.
I had a taste of pretty much everything. Pasta salad, steak, chicken, salad, and corn all made it onto my plate. Dessert was my favorite brownies- Betty Crocker's gf brownie mix. Everytime I have brought them some place, everyone raves about them. I had a couple of those with Friendly's watermelon cake. I left extremely full haha!

What were your Labor Day plans?
Do you prefer rainy days sometimes?
Ever put laundry detergent in the dishwasher?

  3. Hahah so glad crisis was averted. I was doing laundry in my apt's new machine the other day and I had a terrible daydream that when I returned I would have a soapy room.

  4. Yikes! Glad you caught it in time! I'll definitely be more cautious when I'm purchasing either now :)

  5. Lol, made the same mistake before- went back to the store to exchange and bought the same thing but different brand- clearly brainless!

What an epic spread- I got USA/Canada envy by reading all your blogs while my monday was filled with a hot date with textbooks
